Finished!

I actually finished a project! I did most of this while watching the Winter Olympics. The first time that I was home all day and could watch everything. I really enjoyed it, although dh was not thrilled. A little goes a long way for him! lol Anyhow, this is for my sister Lois who is an avid quilter. I love quilting also, but do enjoy my needlework. I will leave this project for her to mount and frame to her taste. :) It's called Amish Trip Around the World. It was done on 18c monocanvas. I'm thinking of trying it on a 28c linen with DMC floss just to see. Hmmmmm.

Oh, Shirley, "this Lois" loves it and your "sister Lois" will love it too! Great job! I was thinking the other day, that I should start working on a needlework project again...your piece may be the inspiration needed to push me to actually get one out!

I commented a couple of days ago...don't know where the comment went! You did a great job on this piece. And...all I can say is that "this Lois" loves it and I know that "sister Lois" will love it too!

Nice work! I can't wait until I have time to get to some of my projects. I buy them from Herrschner's, since they won't be around forever, and they're piling up in my closet.

Thanks for the comments, ladies! I am enjoying the needlepoint, especially the geometric designs. There are so many cool stitches! And the nice thing is, they can be done on linen with dmc or silk floss on a smaller scale. :)
