Normal Wednesday

Errand day today.  Sprouts ( health food store) was packed today.  Picked up 3 books from the library.  Went to Target for toiletries and sundries.  Picked up milk (we get raw milk - delicious!).  Stopped by friend's for eggs but her chickens aren't laying well right now.  Did leave her another egg carton.  She will need all she can get when they start laying again.  Then by grocery store.  Picked up three magazines: Threads, Chickens, and Victoria.  Oh, also picked up a reloading magazine for dh.  Made meatloaf for dinner, so he gets a meatloaf sandwich for lunch tomorrow.  I read and caught up on my emails after dinner.  He worked on a wallet he's making for his bil for 70th birthday.

I Solemnly Resolve....

Last year I promised myself not to start any new projects.  I kept that promise.  Well, except for the small quilt that I started in a quilt class that my sister treated me to, but that doesn't count, right??  I was hoping this goal would help me finish up some projects.  Nope.  So this year my goal is to finish some projects. Now that I have said it and put it in print, I hope it will happen.  I am almost done on one project that I started in 2008.  I should finish it this week.  At least the stitching part.  I want to mount it on a box lid.  We'll see how long that takes to happen!!  I hope to post pictures of my projects, at least as I finish them, maybe while I am working on them.  We'll see how that turns out.  :)  The road to where is paved with good intentions??????????

Long Day

Had our monthly ACQP meeting today.  The "official photographer" was there to take our pictures as a committee and filmed parts of our meeting for posterity's sake.  Had to sign model release forms, so I guess I am a professional model!!!  Too funny.  After I got home, I spent the afternoon working on ACQP stuff, getting the minutes refined and coming up with a synopsis of our history.

I'm so glad I made a big pot of turkey soup yesterday afternoon.  Just chopped up the leftover turkey from Thanksgiving, poured in two cans of chicken broth, a big bag of frozen mixed veggies, some celery and onion and a cup of barley and let it simmer away.  The pot of soup always comes out bigger than I anticipate.  I think I should get a bigger pan, but that would only mean more soup.  We will be eating off it for a week at least, as it is.

It was cool and cloudy all day and we got some rain.  I love this kind of weather.  I could deal with it year round.
